Torrance, Calif., April 04, 2014—AeroWorx, a leading provider of pneumatic, hydraulic, electromechanical and fuel system repair and overhaul services, is pleased to announce its new role as an Approved Repair Center for the Lockheed Martin(NYSE: LMT) Hologram Products Program for C-130B-H, L-100 and F-16 aircraft.
Lockheed Martin’s Hologram Products Program is an internationally recognized quality assurance program. Parts and repairs obtained from Approved Repair Centers and Certified Parts Licensees are known throughout the industry for meeting rigorous quality control standards.
To become an Approved Repair Center, AeroWorx needed to fulfill requirements so stringent that worldwide, there are only a handful of companies that have earned this official endorsement. To further solidify their place as a military aircraft repair industry leader, AeroWorx is the first Approved Repair Center to work on both the C-130B-H and the F-16 military aircraft. “This is a pretty exclusive group,” said Aeroworx founder and CEO Gary Furlong. “And to be one of the few facilities in the world approved through this program to work on the F-16 is a responsibility we don’t take lightly. We know our reputation for quality, efficiency and dependability is what earned us this position, and that’s how we intend to keep it.”
As an Approved Repair Center, AeroWorx will perform approved repairs on elements including pneumatic, hydraulic, electro mechanical, fuel systems, transmissions, gearboxes, and landing gear on F-16 L-100 andC-130B-H aircraft. The repaired components are delivered to the client with an Approved Repairs Hologram attached to the repair paperwork. This hologram designates that Lockheed Martin has approved the AeroWorx quality system, and that AeroWorx used approved parts and the correct data to test, repair, and/or overhaul the item.
Hologram Products Program Manager William Berotte states, “The addition of Aeroworx, Inc.as a C-130B-H, L-100 and F-16Repair Center of approved hologram licensed products to the Hologram Products Program portfolio demonstrates Lockheed Martin’s continued commitment to ensuring the highest level of flight safety for the aircraft it builds and supports.”
With quality management standards backed by AS9110 certification from the International Organization for Standards (ISO9001:2009), and a facility that is prepped for expansion, AeroWorx is ready to use its new position as an Approved Repair Center to further develop its national and international military client base.
“Being an Approved Repair Center is a great opportunity for AeroWorx,” continues Furlong. “We are excited about the growth potential this affiliation brings with it and we look forward to a long, productive relationship with Lockheed Martin.”
